It’s a shame I didn’t have a chance to spend enough time over this dram. This 21 year old single malt by Glenfarclas distillery was part of our local whisky society’s tasting, and these are my quick notes of this special Speysider.
I’ve always had a huge amount of respect for Glenfarclas. They’ve managed to keep traditional age stated whiskies in their core range, with reasonable pricing in today’s mad whisky pricing scenery.
Glenfarclas 12 year old and the king of sherry bombs, Glenfarclas 105 are legendary household names in whisky communities. Even though they’ve not on my favorite lists (because I’m not a sherry bomb fan), I respect those expressions and the principals Glenfarclas has.

Even though my tasting took place quite rapidly, I immediately sensed that this is quality single malt.
